My Mother
Surrounding my world
Are infernos
Ready to sink me down
Thousand times
The storm rages
But on this sea
She’s the ‘lifeboat’ I wholly trust.
When the sky wrecks
I could hear,
Thunderclap announcing my ruin
I’m held
In her arms
That her heart may become my home.
In a universe filled with masked faces
In her abode did I sought wisdom.
There’s deep love
In the way she calls me “my child”
And I, call her “MY MOTHER”.
To whom her sacrifices always buoyed me up:
“I love you.”
