Yeah! Don’t get surprised
The blacks say black is beautiful
And so I chose black for my skin
to send beauty some errands of beauty to not
Only the blacks but the whites.
Yes, into their souls.
I chose white for my skin to send peace
Some errands of peace into every rioting soul.
And that is why I am not only called one name.
Folks call me piano, some keyboard,
Organ, grand piano, and what have you.
All respects goes to me first, because I am
The fundamental part of music.
About the Author
Flourish David, a Nigerian Artiste, Lyricist and Writer, born in the early 1990s. David had flair for music at age 3, and was known for his funny style of ‘clapping hands’ and ‘playing the tambourine’. He was later nicknamed, ‘little David’ in the Church he attended at that time — CHRIST CENTRE. He became a Maestro at his Teen age and an inspiration to others with his Soprano voice. David fully began his music career at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry between the age of 16 to 21 in one of the Church’s branch — Praise Assembly — where he was the youngest Keyboardist of the church as well.
In 2016, David became an Assistant Director of Music in the aforementioned church (M. F. M) and two years later, became a Music Educator and a Senior National Director of Music in a well known Global Ministry — Living Vessels, till date.
David began writing poems in 2015 and have written a good number of poems and witty sayings.
Some of his works, “Thou Art Like That Queen”, “Woe Unto Thee”, and “That Stage Fright” are spreading like wildfire.
He is a sibling to the renowned award winning Poet and Writer, _Flourish Joshua_, Author, _*’Arúgbó n Soge* and Other Poems’ (a satire for our attire)_
